Monthly Roundup - April - Eclat Equestrian Online

Monthly Roundup - April

With it being the end of the month, we are taking a look back to see what exactly has been going on in Eclat HQ and to give you an insight into life at The Croft!

The month started off with two work placement pupils starting – Callie who is in her HNC year of Equine Studies at SRUC and Sindhu who is studying a masters in digital marketing at RGU. Callie undertook everyday tasks such as picking and packing your orders, completing a stock-take and having a crack at product design as well as writing the weekly blogs, setting up a Depop account and making Klarna a payment method. Sindhu has been working behind the scenes coming up with an exciting new website and creating new graphics as well as updating the look of our Instagram.  Callie has continued with us part time after her placement, so keep an eye out for more of her weekly blogs coming up!

In terms of new products, we have been brainstorming ideas and thinking out of the box. We have two new ‘LegUp’ colours arriving soon, along with a few other products. Email subscribers will have first information about release dates as well as a discount code so sign up on the website if you haven’t already, so you don’t miss out! We are looking to book a photoshoot to get new images to refresh the website with too and had a content creation day at home to get some action shots in the existing LegUps and Superbling saddle pads. HOYS and RHS have been booked and the website has been updated with the shows we will be attending this year – we love to see as many customers as we can so please come and say hi if you are planning any!
As mentioned earlier Callie set up Depop where we are selling off any samples, seconds, photoshoot items and end of line products. So far we have had a good success rate with this, and it will be where to find most of the sale items once our sale ends on our website. The link for this is in our bio on Instagram and Facebook – we have set up a Linktree which means you can quickly and easily access all links to our social medias and the website no matter what site you are on. Klarna is also a payment option now at checkout, allowing you to pay over 3 monthly instalments interest free or buy now and pay in 30 days. Hopefully this allows more flexibility and makes it easier to spread the cost on bigger orders!

In the personal aspect of things, I’ve been getting out competing again with Blondie, jumping at Tillyoch over their BS weekend and the Cabin after that. It’s been so nice to start to get out more and Blondie has been enjoying himself! We have taken on some lambs too from our local farmer to help him out and teach the kids about responsibility and farm life which has been chaotic at times from Jude, the littlest member of Team Eclat, letting one of the lambs out of the stable to getting a cold lamb who spent a few days in the warmth of the office with us and liked to gives us a fright by randomly yelling when you were least expecting it. The kids are really enjoying having the lambs and have taken them into the garden for a run about too. Pippa has started up an egg selling business from her hens which local customers may have noticed when picking up their order – in the collection box you’ll see the fresh eggs and a little tray for money. Eggs are 10p each so feel free to grab some if you’re picking up a parcel.
