We cannot believe how quick this year has gone here in Eclat HQ. Conscious we haven’t done a blog in a while during a busy show season, so what better way to get back into them by looking back at everything we’ve achieved this year.
It all started off in March when I started 2 weeks work placement with Jordan as part of my HND Equine studies course. I learned lots of office basics and thoroughly enjoyed my time. The 2 weeks extended to 4 as my placement dedicated weeks fell before the easter holidays so we had the potential to increase our placement if we were enjoying ourselves. By the end of the 4th week Jordan began joking about not letting me leave and here I am 9 months later!
Show season was our busiest yet. It started off well with Jordan and her dad attending Floors International. From there we went to Bramham, Royal Highland Show, Hickstead, Dublin Horse Show, Blair International, Horse of the Year Show and then Your Horse Live to finish the year. We had a lot of variable weather from Bramham and the 29-degree heat to Hickstead and the sideways rain and winds! No matter the weather you turned up in force and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone. We changed the layout of our shop to make it easier to shop and build outfits which you guys loved. It was our first ever Dublin show, and we cannot thank the customers enough for their help and patience when our card readers went down.
We also gave our website look a refresh to go along with the new products we released. Our new Sage LegUps and White/Grey LegUps were super popular along with our Young Rider Black LegUps and ‘Expensive Little Bestie’ Hoodie. Our Denim leggings have continued to be popular as have our Power sets. We released a new Black Team jacket at HOYS and it sold out! We are currently awaiting more stock of this due to its popularity.
We were delighted to win not one but two awards this year – Best Equestrian Fashion Brand 2023 Scotland and Silver Award in the Lifestyle, Pet & Fashion category at Your Horse Live. We are also delighted to have partnered with Bogenraith to create their uniforms and Aberdeen University Equestrian Club to supply their saddle pads.
I am delighted to announce that we are now stocked by Norvite, a local equestrian store to us that both Jordan and I have always loved a wander round. In the near future, we will be looking to expand to other tack shops around the UK.
We have also started accepting Klarna as a payment method – where you can split your payment into 3 interest-free instalments or pay the full amount 30 days after your purchase. Sale items and samples have been posted on our Depop account which we started up and we also have created our blog posts.
Finally, Jordan became the Scotland Rep for Equine America – a scienced based horse supplement company that have products for humans, cats and dogs too. This company is both used and trusted by Jordan and myself so we can really vouch for the products.
A final thank you from us both for all your support – whether that’s buying from us or engaging on social media, it really helps us grow as a company. We have so many exciting things planned for Eclat in 2024 and cant wait to share them all with you.
Have a good Christmas and New Year everyone,
Callie and Jordan x
